Pastor Marlon Seifert’s passion for prayer is evident in every phase of his ministry at Cloverdale. He loves teaching Bible classes in small groups and leads a mid-week prayer group each Wednesday evening at the church. He also expands his ministry outreach with regular podcasts and live streaming of his worship hour messages. Pastor Seifert brings a multi-cultural flavor to his ministry. He spent the first 12 years of his life in Brazil and loves the culture and people of his native home. Seifert’s father is also a minister who came to the U.S. to learn English and brought his family here with him. Seifert served as a youth minister in his father’s church and met his future wife, Vanessa, as they worked together planning youth activities. Seifert attended Southern Adventist University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in theology in 2007. He served for eight years in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas as an associate pastor, youth pastor and senior pastor. He earned a master’s in divinity from Andrews University in 2011. Before coming to Cloverdale, Pastor Seifert served for four years as pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Valdosta, GA. The Seiferts have two children. We pray for our pastor and God’s leading in his ministry each day, and we know that he is praying for us as well—that’s his passion!
