This is part one of a study through the story of Lazarus in John 11. It sits with the uncomfortable stretch of the story: the delay, the death, and Martha and Mary each meeting Jesus with the same ache, "Lord, if you had been here." The thread running through it is that God's apparent lateness is never proof he doesn't care. Jesus wept at that tomb, and Pastor Marlon makes the case that the God of the Bible isn't a distant, unmoved planner but one who suffers alongside us, even when he's working toward something greater than we can see.
